Farm Bureau members have received invitations to the combined Monterey County Farm Bureau and Central Coast Young Farmers & Ranchers Harvest Dance on October 10 Chapin Pines in Prunedale.
The Annual Meeting will include election of directors, President Jason Smith’s report and a CCYFR report, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
A no-host bar and hors d’oeuvres will be available throughout the evening.
Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., and the dance will begin at 8 p.m. with the Shan Johnson Band.
Tickets will be $40 per person advance purchase, $45 at the door, and will include dinner and one drink ticket. Proceeds will benefit Farm Bureau, CCYFR and Ag Against Hunger.
Harvest Dance supports Ag Against Hunger and Farm Bureau programs
On Saturday, October 10 beginning at 6:30 p.m., the Central Coast Young Farmers and Ranchers (CCYF&R) will host their fifth annual Harvest Dance, benefiting Ag Against Hunger and Farm Bureau Programs.
The casual, outdoor dinner-dance will feature a hayride, delectable YF&R tri-tip barbeque dinner with all the fixins, a full bar featuring local wines and dancing to the sweet sounds of local favorite, the Shan Johnson Band.
Due to his continued generosity and support, this good time for a GREAT cause will be held at Don Chapin’s outdoor event venue, Chapin Pines located at 440 Crazy Horse Road in Prunedale. Tickets for the event are $40 in advance, $45 at the door and include one drink ticket.

The Harvest Dance is a celebration of the end of the traditional vegetable growing season and beginning of the wine grape harvest. It is quickly becoming the Central Coast’s “must attend” fall season celebration is the “hoedown of the year.”
